GROSSINGER AUTO GROUP OF LINCOLNWOOD ADOPTS FAMILIES

At least ten local families will have happy holidays this season.

LINCOLNWOOD, IL. Grossinger Auto Group announced today that they will be assisting in the aid of ten local families through the Adopt-A-Family program, in conjunction with the Salvation Army, this holiday season. This is the first year Grossinger has participated in this program, but it adds to the already extensive list of charities with which the family owned company is involved.

One family, in particular, was especially grateful for this blessing due to the fact they had recently been displaced from the tragedy of a house fire. The family consisted of five children, ages 4-16, and a single mother.

Many of the families in need, typically, consist of young children and single mothers. Household items (dishes, linens, etc), and family games were among some of the requests. Grossinger was more than generous in helping the many families see the sun in this cloudy time of their lives by providing not only the necessary day-to-day household items, but by adding “extras” to ensure treats for all. Grossinger was able to put the belief in many that Santa Claus really does exist this Christmas.

The Adopt-A-Family (AAF) program matches impoverished families with individual or group sponsors to provide for their tangible needs at Christmas. Without the benefit of an adoption, these families would be looking forward to a very grim holiday. Being adopted is designed to be a once or, on very rare occasions, twice in a lifetime event for recipient families.

GROSSINGER AUTOGROUP LINCOLNWOOD CONTINUES TO GRANT WISHES

Children’s Memorial Hospitals

LINCOLNWOOD, IL. Grossinger Auto Group announced today that on behalf of the Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago, IL, they have again participated in distributing a “Wish List” of holiday presents. The event took place on December 10th from 9:30AM to 3PM at the family’s Fullerton and Clark location. Volunteers passed out the toys to smiling children. Grossinger has been a part of this holiday tradition for just shy of a decade.

Children’s Memorial Hospital (CMH) considers anyone who participates in giving on any level to be a “hero” in their eyes. Donations can be given in the form of volunteering time, corporate funding or hosting an event, such as Grossinger did this Holiday Season.

Children’s Memorial Hospital was founded in 1882 when Julia Foster Porter renovated a small cottage at the corner of Belden and Halsted streets to establish a hospital dedicated exclusively to caring for children.

Still today, CMH is dedicated to the health and well-being of all children. As the pediatric teaching facility of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, this commitment drives us to be a leader in Pediatric Healthcare delivery, research into the prevention causes and treatment of diseases that affect children, education for physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, and advocacy for the general well-being of all children.
